Water Economies can save from  a few hundred pounds  to Hundreds of Thousands of pounds per annum.

Many economies are very simple to achieve

In recent years, we have saved our customers many thousands of pounds. Often this is by simple actions and adjustments and sometimes by capital investments. We offer a preliminary site visit free of charge where we discuss and observe your processes and give you an overview of the scale of potential savings. Following this, we carry out a feasibility study at a modest fixed price, identify potential savings and draw up budgets and specifications to achieve these savings. Usually there is sufficient information provided for CAPEX applications where appropriate.

Thereafter, we help you to carry out the cost saving work ourselves, or by working closely with your own staff or other contractors. Our overview will consider all potential savings - many of which we can deliver for you. Some work will require specialist input, in all cases, we can manage the complete range of activities and deliver a successful outcome.

Description

Outcome

General Savings – Looking after the pennies

Housekeeping, Minimise leakage, best steam traps, use of chemicals, More open plant cleaning/less hosing,  ZERO Leakage culture.

Replacing existing, leaky steam traps with more energy efficient units has saved over £10,000 p.a Other savings are less spectacular but steady and worthwhile.

Heat Recovery from processes

We have considered a  number of projects where the cost savings appear very attractive.

The capital cost of the necessary work and the possible limited opportunity to reuse the recovered heat often limits the practicality. But still worth considering.

Rain Water Harvesting

We are now looking into this with a specialist company as part of a total water economy package

Early days but provided there is the practical opportunity to reuse the water, we expect this to become more popular especially when combined with other recovery projects.

Solar Panels – Generating Electricity

We are now looking into this with a specialist company as part of a total economy package

Early days – but worth considering

Wind Turbines

We are heavily involved in the design and construction of the support towers

We are looking into the practicalities of carrying out installations for our industrial customers
