Nothing is more important than the safety of your full time employees and contractors. For D B Lloyd Ltd, safety begins at the project planning stage with Design and Safety Reviews, "What If " analyses and HAZOP studies when appropriate. Before beginning any work on site - even if it is just measuring up, we produce a Risk Assessment and a Method statement. Contractors are required to submit clear and accurate Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to starting work on site. We insist on seeing evidence of qualifications of all relevant site workers - including safety passports, licences for Fork Trucks, Mobile working platforms etc. During construction phases, we closely monitor safety performance and adherence to rules and do not hesitate to deal swiftly and firmly with anyone failing to work in a safe manner according to the agreed procedures. If a contract demands it, we will engage the services of a full time safety advisor during the construction phases. Close attention is paid to Environmental issues - both at the planning stages connected with the ultimate performance of the project and any emissions or effluents generated during the course of the construction activities. |
